Blockstack PBC, a Public Benefit Corp, is building the core protocols and developer tools for the Blockstack network of decentralized apps. Our mission is to enable fundamental digital rights for all internet users. As a Public Benefit Corp, we uphold specific commitments to the greater public good in addition to stockholder interests. We believe in open-source and would always keep the core Blockstack software open-source. We're committed to enabling an open, decentralized internet and to support further decentralization of the Blockstack network.

Muneeb Ali is the co-founder of Blockstack and serves as the CEO of Blockstack PBC. He received his PhD in distributed systems from Princeton University and gives guest lectures on cloud computing there. He was awarded a J. William Fulbright Fellowship and his PhD dissertation was nominated by Princeton for the ACM SIGCOMM dissertation award.
Albert Wenger is a managing partner at Union Square Ventures (USV), where he has led a variety of investments including USV’s investments in Etsy (IPO), MongoDB (IPO), Twilio (IPO), Behance (acquired by Adobe), and Firebase (acquired by Google). Albert graduated from Harvard College in economics and computer science and holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from MIT.
JP Singh has been a computer science faculty member at Princeton University since 1995. He received his PhD from from Stanford University and is a leading authority on scalable infrastructure and applications. He is the director of the Princeton CTO Program, serves on the board of 8x8, Inc., and has been a consultant to Intel, Microsoft, and the U.S. Government.
